UN Children's Day
The UN General Assembly recommended that all countries
institute a Universal Children's Day to be observed as a
day of worldwide fraternity and understanding between
children. It recommended that the Day was to be observed
also as a day of activity devoted to promoting the ideals
and objectives of the Charter and the welfare of the
children of the world.
Week of the Classroom
Teacher
Since 1995, ACEI has sponsored a celebration of the Week of
the Classroom Teacher to honor the dedication and
professionalism of classroom teachers. This event
encourages students, parents, and the general public to
recognize the difference teachers make in the lives of
children, their schools and community.
World AIDS Day
World AIDS Day is about getting involved so that everyone
can make a difference in the global fight against HIV and
AIDS.
World Teachers' Day
According to UNESCO, World Teachers' Day represents a
significant token of the awareness, understanding and
appreciation displayed for the vital contribution that
teachers make to education and development.
